The ALDABA-WIB Chair is launching the second edition of ALDABA-TIC CAMP, the summer technology camp for girls and boys born between 2012 and 2018, both inclusive. The aim of this CAMP is to awaken an interest in technology in young people at an early age, introduce them to the world of ICT, and help them develop skills in a fun way. In line with one of the main objectives of the ALDABA WIB Chair—to promote ICT vocations among girls—80% of the places are reserved for girls. In this edition, we are launching a second mission with which we want to explore the bottom of the sea: Mission in the Depths.
The camp will be held at the Faculty of Computer Science of the UDC and at the School of Computer Engineering of the UVigo, in Ourense, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with optional early bird services (8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and lunch (2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
In A Coruña, it is organized in two shifts (30 places each) and is sponsored by the UDC Social Council, which subsidizes 50% of the registration fee. It is carried out in collaboration with Play Code Academy and the UDC Faculty of Computer Science.
1st shift: June 25-28, 2024
2nd shift: July 1-5, 2024
