Coinciding with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), the Faculty of Computer Science in A Coruña and MUNCYT are organizing online talks given by women working in technology professions, which will be broadcast in the high schools and schools that sign up for the event.

Four engineers who graduated from the University of A Coruña will share their experiences so that students at educational centers can learn what motivates technological vocations and what it’s like to work in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, Big Data, and the creation of innovative digital content… The talks are also a demonstration of the abundance and importance of women in this field. The Chair participated with a 30-minute talk by one of ALDABA’s professionals, Gema Vázquez, titled “Did You Know That Data Is Information, and Information Is Power?”

It is an activity aimed at groups from educational centers (secondary, high school, and vocational training), with prior reservation. Participating groups may send their questions in advance to the reservations email address.

The activity will be broadcast live in digital format via videoconference.
